Animal welfare charity chasing forever home for Maddi to spend her twilight years

The Scottish SPCA is looking for a home for a sweet-natured old Staffie cross named Maddi.

MaddiWe have been caring for the 14-year-old girl for over a month at our animal rescue and rehoming centre in Ayrshire. Staff at the centre are keen to find her a forever home to enjoy her twilight years.

Lynda Hourston, assistant manager at the centre, said, “Sadly, Maddi’s original owner was no longer in a position to care for her and she arrived at our centre with another dog who has since found a new home.

“Maddi may be 14, but she’s not one for acting her age. She’s still full of life and is never happier than when out for a walk or getting her belly rubbed. She is a friendly girl who we love to bits and all we want for her is a forever home to enjoy her twilight years.”

“She has such a lovely nature and may be able to be rehomed with another dog following a successful introduction. She’d be best suited to a home with older or no children.”

If you or anyone you know is interested in rehoming Maddi please contact our centre in Ayr on 03000 999 999.
