Help care for animals, raise funds and lots more!
The Scottish SPCA is asking supporters in the Lanarkshire area to part with their old clothes and shoes.
We are asking members of the public to support us through Clothes Aid, a clothes donation scheme which repurposes second hand and unwanted clothes.
Our branded Clothes Aid bags will be delivered through letterboxes in South Lanarkshire in the hope that the public fill them with shoes, accessories and clothes they no longer want before being collected free of charge.
Gillian Boyle, acting manager of our centre in Lanarkshire said, “We’re in need of donations of garments, shoes and old jewellery, all in association with Clothes Aid.
“Clothes Aid is a fantastic programme that refashions your preloved items.
“We’re all guilty of a bit of clothes hoarding in the hope that we will wear that jumper or pair of shoes again.
“This is a great excuse to get rid of all the items you don’t want and give your wardrobe a spring clean while helping Scotland’s animals.
“We receive no government funding and rely entirely on the generous support of the public.
“Without this we would not be able to continue our vital work rescuing, rehabilitating, rehoming and releasing the animals of Scotland.”
Anyone who would like to support us through Clothes Aid should look out for a bag through their door or visit here to organise a one off collection of three or more bags.
